Risk Reduction/DUI Program

Access Education Driving School is approved and certified by the State of Georgia to teach the Risk Reduction program, commonly known as DUI School. This program is a requirement for eligibility to reinstate a driver's license if a driver has been convicted of DUI, possession of illegal drugs, boating under the influence or is court ordered.

The Department of Driver Services (DDS) regulates the DUI Alcohol or Drug Use Risk Reduction Program (RRP) also more commonly referred to as DUI schools. This is an intervention program mandated by law for people convicted of Driving Under the Influence (DUI), possession of illegal drugs, underage possession of alcohol while operating a motor vehicle, or Boating Under the Influence (BUI).

You Should Expect:

- To regain your driving privileges
- To invest a minimum of 20 hours of your time
- To take an assessment prior to beginning class
- To arrange for transportation while license is suspended
- To be fully attentive and engage in all discussions

- To pay the State required fee prior to assessment and class enrollment

20 Hour Course

The Assessment Component takes most individuals 1/2-hour to one-hour to complete (prior to class). The Intervention Component class is 20-hours.

Cost

The course is composed of three components. The charge is $82.00 for the Assessment Component, $190.00 for the Intervention Component and an additional $20.00 Materials Fee. The total cost of the course is $292.00.

Teen Discussion Guide

This guide was created by Prime for LIfe who is the curriculum provider for the State of Georgia's Risk Reduction/DUI programs. The goal of this guide is to help parent inspire low risk attitudes in their teens. It includes an outline of recommended discussions and activities that are used in conjunction with a workbook. This workbook is sold at our cost of $20.00.

Some parents use this guide exactly as written while others will use as a general outline. The formal outline estimates 3-5 hours to complete the discussions and activities.
